Rim Area Neighborhood July 4th Parade and Celebration

Everyone in El Paso is always invited to watch or join in on this old-fashioned neighborhood tradition that starts with a parade and ends up with a family-friendly celebration in Upper Tom Lea Park, which overlooks the U.S., Mexico border.

About the event
Wear your most patriotic costumes. Decorate your cars, your bikes - even your pets! This is a fun event the whole family can enjoy, whether you choose to join in the parade or simply cheer from the sidelines.
Anyone wishing to participate in the parade should join the line at Rim and Brown/Kerbey by 9:45 a.m. That will also be where face painting and bike decorating will be happening starting at 9 a.m.
The parade will begin at 10 a.m. and go down Rim Road to the Tom Lea Upper Park.
The parade will be followed by ice cream and festivities in the park.
Party favors will be awarded in several costume categories including:
• Best costume – family
• Best costume – boys; girls
• Best decoration – bikes, scooters, wagons
• Best costume – pets
